Opuntia sp. (John B.) has mid green new pads becoming bluish with long cinnamon spines & yellow flowers with red centres.


Description:
Opuntia sp. (John B.) was given to us by a friend of the nursery. It has grown against a west wall of his house in Vancouver for many years and has never experienced any cold damage. The new pads emerge mid green and spineless later becoming bluish and developing long cinnamon-coloured spines. The flowers are bright yellow with a red centre. Plant in full sun in sharply draining soil. Exact hardiness unknown.
