Dactylorhiza majalis hybrids

('productnameshort')

Dactylorhiza majalis, the broad-leaved marsh orchid, produces beautiful spikes densely covered with gorgeous pink to magenta flowers with white markings.

Description:
Dactylorhiza majalis, the broad-leaved marsh orchid, grows across Eurasia. It produces beautiful spikes up to 16 inches tall densely covered with gorgeous pink to magenta flowers with darker pink and white markings. The leaves are spotted with burgundy red. Possibly hardy to zone 4. Seed grown. Our plants are based on D. majalis but with hybridization from other species. Plants will likely resemble the photo but could also show some interesting variation. Marsh orchids grow across Europe usually in moist habitats that are either moist year round or seasonally moist in the winter becoming drier in the summer. Despite their marshy natural habitats, these hardy orchids do well in evenly moist garden soils in full to part sun and are easy to grow. Over time they will develop into impressive clumps of lance-shaped leaves with many vertical spikes of delightful orchid flowers.
