Weigela florida 'My Monet Purple Effect' is a charming ornamental shrub with abundant panicles of funnel-shaped, light and dark pink flowers that contrast delightfully with its fascinating variegated foliage of green centres with wide creamy-white margins and a fine pink edging. Foliage stays attractive right up to frost. Stunning as a tall ground cover reaching 18-30 inches high and wide, as an edger, or in the border or a container. Very tidy. Seldom needs pruning. Blooms on old wood. Hummingbird attractor. Deer resistant.
