Hydrangea macrophylla Tuxedo Red is a stunning compact cultivar with lustrous purple-black foliage topped with mopheads of purple flowers in acid soils or rich red flowers in alkaline soils. Plants grow into 3 foot mounds which won't need to be pruned to keep plants to size, perfect for containers or small gardens. Plant in full sun to encourage the richest burgundy tones in the leaves.
