Hydrangea macrophylla 'Tellers Blue' is one of the best lacecap cultivar with very large blue or pink flowers depending on soil pH.


Description:
Hydrangea macrophylla 'Tellers Blue', also known as 'Blaumeise' is considered one of the best blue lacecap hydrangeas. A vigorous shrub with large and flat, dinner-plate size blooms up to 9 inches across! The cobalt blue florets surround a central cluster of tiny fertile darker blue flowers. Colour fast throughout the summer. Blue in acidic soils and pink in alkaline soils. Growth habit is round and bushy up to 7 feet tall and 5 feet wide. The glossy dark green foliage provides a beautiful backdrop. Use as a focal point or in the corner of a mixed shrub bed, great for the vase and dried flower arrangement.
