Description:
'Kushi Maya' is an amazing interdivisional hybrid lily that brings together the rare Lilium nepalense with Oriental lilies. It has the cream and pale yellow flowers of its species parent along with its dramatic dark burgundy centre but with larger, more open, and more outward-facing flowers on taller, easier-to-grow plants that look like an Oriental lily. The flowers are also lightly fragrant. Get them while you can. Apparently the main producers of lilies in Holland have discontinued production since the flowers are slightly nodding and not good for the cut flower trade which makes up the majority of demand for lily bulbs. So new that exact hardiness is not known. Some say zone 7, some say zone 3. It's likely in between so we are guessing zone 5.
