Description:
Take note, black flower lovers! This rarely found perennial species allied to G. phaeum is from China and bears umbels of small blackish-maroon inverted flowers with reflexed petals and crimson beaks in late summer and fall. The foliage is dark green and decoratively marbled. Sun or shade in any good soil but not too wet in winter.
