Description:
Helleborus x hybridus ‘Kingston Cardinal’ offers a profusion of rich raspberry red double flowers that are sure to melt the winter frosts around your gardening heart each spring. The stems and new growth emerge glowing red and maintain some of this colour during flowering. Out of the excellent seed strains of Heronswood Nursery a precious few unique and superior plants, including this one, were selected to be named and reproduced by tissue culture. All plants are identical. Tolerant of shade but best in part shade to part sun. Perennial Plant of the Year 2005.
