Polypodium pseudoaureum

('productnameshort')

Virginia blue fern (Polypodium pseudoaureum) offers amazing bluish green foliage for mild climates or container culture. Great as a houseplant in cold climates.

Description:
The unique Virginia Blue fern (Polypodium pseudoaureum) is silvery blue in colour (green in the winter) with mitt shaped fronds that are deeply lobed and travels on little rabbit feet. It can reach 12 inches tall with evergreen leaves. Will brighten up a shady area in the garden or in a container. Hardy to zone 8, this species is still a bit of an adventure -- we are unaware of anyone trying this in BC so far. Let us know if you have. Also makes a good houseplant.
