Caltha palustris 'Plena' is a cold-hardy, moisture-loving, Marsh marigold with green leaves and double, button-shaped, yellow flowers.


Description:
Caltha palustris 'Plena' is a cold-hardy, moisture-loving, marsh marigold ideally suited as a marginal water plant. Foliage is kidney-shaped, toothed and dark green. Waxy, yellow spring flowers are button-shaped and fully double. Very easy-care. Growth habit is 6 to 12 inches high with a 12 to 18 inch spread. Requires rich, moist soil including clay that never dries out. Adaptable to all but dry conditions. Use as an accent, pond edging, mass planting, alpine and rock garden. Deer resistant. A northern hemisphere native that also calls BC home.
