This special form of the European celandine buttercup has luscious, burgundy-black foliage and cheerful yellow buttercups. This species is a spring ephemeral that will go completely dormant by summer, a trait that makes this species incredibly valuable for layering early spring colour into your garden planted between and underneath late-emerging perennials and deciduous shrubs.
