Campanula portenschlagiana Ambella Dark Blue produces masses of starry, bell-shaped, royal violet flowers so dense you can barely see the foliage from spring until fall. The mounds of evergreen foliage and copious flower are sturdy and compact but trail nicely for use in hanging baskets, containers, or as a groundcover. Shear hard to refresh clumps if they become leggy.
