Cypripedium californicum is a very rare and exceedingly intriguing lady's slipper species from southern Oregon and northern California. It can grow 3-4 feet high in sizable clumps with pleated leaves and up 21 flowers per stem! The flowers are also unusual with pure white pouches and flattened, greenish yellow to mustard yellow petals often flushed with warm brown. Grows in constantly moist sites. An orchid for expert collectors looking for a challenge. Seed grown. Blooming size.
