Solanum tuberosum 'Red Pontiac' is a very popular, delicious, all purpose potato with thin red skin, shallow eyes, and sweet white flesh. Flowers are light purple with white tips. Awesome as a new potato (10 weeks to harvest) or 15 weeks (80-100 days) to maturity. Stores well. Produces round to oblong tubers. Plants are large, slightly spreading with thick stems. Plant in early spring while soil is still cool in the garden or large containers. Hilling up potato plants will increase yields.
