Clematis 'The Countess of Wessex' will shimmer in your garden as an extremely free-flowering, compact vine with large, 5-6 inch wide, lightly ruffled, white flowers with light pink stripes and a crown of deep red stamens. Blooms late spring to early summer and again in late summer to early fall. Ideal in the smaller garden or containers. Pruning group C. Raymond Evison is the world's most famous Clematis breeder producing superior and distinctive cultivars with long bloom periods, excellent disease resistance, and bold colours. Use them on trellises and pergolas, grow them into shrubs, or use them as ground covers.
