Hippeastrum stylosum

('productnameshort')

Hippeastrum stylosum is a miniature amaryllis with beautiful star-shaped flowers of orange-red and creamy-green throats.

Description:
Hippeastrum stylosum is a rare, miniature amaryllis with beautiful star-shaped, orange-red, 4 inch wide flowers with green throats. Long bright green leaves are produced at the same time as the flowers. Plants can produce 3-8 flowers per stem. Bulbs are naturally small. We sell them at blooming size. Grow in a sunny location (usually in a pot) outside in summer. Fertilize well. Allow autumn frosts to hit the foliage then bring inside, chop off the leaves and allow to dry out in the dark. Give light and water when a bud or new foliage appears. Great in pots and as cut flowers or outdoors in protected locations in coastal BC.
