Glaucidium palmatum 'Album'

('productnameshort')

Glaucidium palmatum 'Album' is a choice Japanese woodlander with large, silky, creamy white blossoms over attractively textured foliage.

Description:
A superb plant for the shade garden, Glaucidium palmatum 'Album' proves most worthy with large creamy white flowers with yellow centres, blooming in early spring and popping against its beautifully textured green foliage. Hard to find and highly prized. The flowers resemble a single peony or buttercup which speaks to the confusion in its taxonomy. Previously placed in either the Buttercup or Peony families, Japanese Wood Poppy has most recently been placed in its very own family. Best in moist but well-drained soil in cool shade.
