Description:
Malus ‘Calville Blanc D'Hiver’ - Lumpy shaped russet apples with pale yellow green skin. Aromatic flesh that is tart and sharp with low tannins, slight bitterness, spiciness, and a banana flavour with three times the vitamin C of other apples. Vigorous droopy growth, precocious, heavy bearing, likes warmer climates. Multi-purpose for fresh eating, cooking/baking, and cider. Flavours improve with storage. Allow to mature after harvest before fresh eating. Holds shape in cooking. Store up to 4 months. Introduced in France in the 17th century. | Rootstock: B.9 (Dwarf)
