Malus ‘Wayne’ - Red striped and blushed over yellow skin. Flesh is cream coloured, soft and tender. Juicy, sweet with some tartness and a pronounced strawberry flavour. Best for fresh eating and cooking/baking. Precocious production on young plants. Short keeper. Introduced in New York, USA in 1962.
