Iris TB 'Almaden'

('productnameshort')

Iris 'Almaden' is a bearded iris with lightly ruffled red-maroon blooms and beards on tall stalks.

Description:
‘Almaden’ is a mid-season bloomer of lightly ruffled, dark red-maroon blooms and beards with white veining emerging outward from the throat. Very sophisticated! This is a tall, fragrant bearded iris with a compact habit and narrow, upright foliage. Excellent for vertical effect in the landscape. Tall Bearded (TB) irises, previously known as Iris germanica, have greyish strap-like, pointed leaves from fleshy rhizomes and tall stems of gorgeous, often fragrant, flowers that come in every colour of the rainbow. Divide every two to three years (or when clumps become congested and flowering decreases) just after blooming. Trim the foliage back to a third and plant the rhizomes at or just below soil level. Deer and rabbit resistant.
