Leucothoe fontanesiana 'Rainbow' has a beautiful tricolour new growth of white, pink, and copper that makes ‘Rainbow’ an outstanding choice for any shady garden location. The colours fade slightly as the season progresses, to be overlayed by a plum-purple blanket in winter. Graceful arching habit. Striking red stems. Showy, drooping clusters of white flowers add a nice touch to cut arrangements. Effective as hedge, or clip to create an attractive groundcover.
