Clematis 'Etoile Violette' is very free flowering and vigorous with medium sized, rich, deep purple flowers. Performs well in warmer areas where large-flowered clematis will not grow. Train on an arbor, fence, or trellis, or allow to climb through shrubbery. Creates an excellent vertical effect in smaller spaces and containers. Pruning group C.
