Clematis Sapphire Indigo 'Cleminov51' is a cross between C. integrifolia Olgae and 'The President'. It was awarded a bronze medal at Plantarium 2004 in Boskoop. A profuse bloomer with dark purple-blue flowers throughout the summer. The non-clinging stems makes this variety extremely effective clamouring and weaving through shrubs or large perennials and for use as a ground cover. Stems grow to 3-6 feet long. Pruning group C.
