Clematis 'Sweet Summer Love' is a unique introduction by the fine clematis breeder Szczepan Marczynski of Poland. Think of it as a sweet autumn clematis (C. terniflora/paniculata) but with colourful flowers. Masses of small, fragrant, wine red flowers turn to shades of royal purple as they age. Exceptional and unique, this is among the first clematis to offer wonderful fragrance along with larger, colourful flowers! Hardy to zone 3. Pruning group C.
