Clematis 'Elsa Spath' (syn. 'Xerxes') produces large, 6-8 inch wide, rich purple flowers with frosted white at the centre of the tepals. It will bloom three times from mid spring to fall. The flowers are very large at 6-8 inches wide. Raised in Argentina. Pruning group B1.
