Iris ‘Natchez Trace' has orange standards with burgundy-brown to crimson-brown falls.
‘Natchez Trace' is a mid to late season bloomer in late spring to early summer. The standards are orange standards with hints of burgundy and the falls are burgundy-brown to crimson-brown with bronze-orange beards. It is fragrant and blooms at 35 inches high. Excellent for vertical effect in the landscape. Tall Bearded (TB) irises, previously known as Iris germanica, have greyish strap-like, pointed leaves from fleshy rhizomes and tall stems of gorgeous, often fragrant, flowers that come in every colour of the rainbow. Divide every two to three years (or when clumps become congested and flowering decreases) just after blooming. Trim the foliage back to a third and plant the rhizomes at or just below soil level. Deer and rabbit resistant.
