Musa 'Malbhog' is a rare banana tree that is somewhat frost tolerant if well protected. It is popularly grown in the Himalayas. The foliage is large and paddle-shaped with light burgundy-brown splotches. The fruit is delicious, small and plump with nice sweetness and fragrance. Young plants appreciate partial shade. Provide moist well-drained soil with heat, sun and humidity. Very pretty and fun to grow.
