Description:
Ratibida columnifera 'Red' is a drought-tolerant prairie wildflower. Its sombrero-shaped flower heads display a protruding central cone 1/2 to 2 inches above the reflexed petals of deep maroon with yellow edging. Hugely floriferous, flowers appear to float on multi-branched stems above airy, feathery foliage from 18-30 inches high. Use in a wildflower meadow, perennial garden, and in containers. Fast growing and long blooming. A pollinator magnet. Deer resistant.
