Clematis 'Marie Louise Jense'n is a compact climber with large, prolific, violet-blue to purple flowers and contrasting maroon anther tips that darken as the flower ages. A repeat bloomer with double flowers in spring and single flowers later in the season. Flower diametrr is 6 inches wide on a vine 6-8 feet tall. Blooms on prior year and current year growth. Pruning group 2. Prune out old flowers throughout the season. Pollinator attractor. Deer and rabbit resistant.
