Naked ladies (Amaryllis belladonna) has late summer fragrant, trumpet-shaped flowers. 'White Queen' is pure white.


Description:
Naked ladies or belladonna lily emerge in late summer and fall with leafless reddish purple stems 2-3 feet high topped with 6-12 fragrant, glowing pink, trumpet-shaped flowers up to 3-4 inches long and wide. 'White Queen' is a special selection with pure white flowers with yellow centres. Foliage is produced in fall, winter, or early spring going dormant by summer. Loves dry, hot summers. Amaryllis belladonna is a true Amaryllis, the others grown during the holiday season being Hippeastrum.
