Clematis chrysocoma 'Sericea' very much resembles C. montana in flower and foliage with masses of pure white flowers around greenish yellow staminodes in mid to late spring. However, it tends to have "better manners" growing at a somewhat slower rate and may also rebloom later in the summer. Also known as C. spooneri. Pruning group A.
