Tough and hardy, it will flourish in both sun and part shade offering much flexibility in the garden. Attractive too! During mid summer clusters of lilac-blue flowers with yellow stamens are displayed on strong stems that rise up from its base of dense and heavily mounded, fern-like foliage. Adds interesting texture and form to containers, rock gardens and at the front of mixed borders. Attracts bees.
