Malus domestica Heirloom ‘Queen Cox’, a sport of the famous 'Cox's Orange Pippin', offers amazing citrus and tropical fruit flavours.


Description:
Malus domestica ‘Queen Cox' is a self-fertile sport of 'Cox's Orange Pippin' that is just as good as the original with slight improvements in colouration, flavour and reliability of production. The fruit is golden with orange-red striping and white, firm, fine-grained, crisp flesh with a complex, multi-dimensional, aromatic, sweet-tart flavour of pear, melon, freshly-squeezed orange juice and mango! A mid-season, late picking variety. Use for fresh eating and cooking/baking. Developed in Bristol, England in the 1970s. Rootstock: B.9 (Dwarf).
