Description:
Malus domestica ‘Michelin’ is a traditional French heirloom hard cider apple variety producing a medium bittersweet juice. It is a prime juicing apple for blending. The apples are small and green with a sweet astringent taste and lots of tannins. Very juicy, aromatic and dark. Produces heavy crops on upright branches. Fruit drops when ripe. Grown primarily as a blend for fermented hard cider. Though partially self-fertile, a compatible partner increases yield. Introduced to England from France in 1872. Rootstock: M.9 (Dwarf).
