Salix sachalinensis 'Golden Sunshine' is a vigorous and adaptable willow with rich, dramatic, solid gold foliage.


Description:
Salix sachalinensis 'Golden Sunshine' is a vigorous and adaptable willow with rich, dramatic, solid gold foliage that emerges brightest in early spring but maintains its amazing chrome colour through the season before turning lime green in autumn. The leaves are long and narrow and produce a great textural effect. It can grow to 8-18 feet high and 5-7 feet wide but can be pruned to keep smaller. Use as a specimen, in small groups or as a hedge border. Ideal for rain gardens and damp soil conditions. Full sun produces the best foliage colour. This species is now known as S. udensis.
