Fuchsia 'Phyllis' is a larger grower with prolific single to semi-double flowers in shades of rose-red with magenta to lavender-purple corollas. A number of different Fuchsia are hardy to zone 7 or 8. To increase hardiness bury the base of the shrub 3-4 inches below the surface of the soil as you would a rose.
