Moon carrot (Seseli gummiferum) is an intriguing and dramatic plant that will be sure to command attention. It has highly dissected, fern-like, powder blue foliage and, in its second year, will produce masses of large umbels that emerge lavender pink and fade to white. Moon carrot is a biennial or short-lived perennial. Allow the seeds to mature in fall to ensure future generations. It will self seed at a reasonable rate. Easy to grow in full sun to part shade in a wide range of soils but provide good winter drainage.
