Ficus carica 'Brown Turkey' is the best brown-fruited fig for cool summer climates like coastal BC though it will need more sun and heat than 'Desert King'. It produces good crops of brownish figs with delicious pink flesh. In coastal BC it ripens in August. Also great in containers. Get ready to eat fresh figs every day for weeks. Or serve them with goat cheese wrapped in prosciutto or make fig jam. For the 2024 Citrus and Rare Fruit Pre-Order this is pick-up or freight only.
