Description:
Lentinula edodes is the shiitake mushroom, a culinary/gourmet and medicinal mushroom with worldwide popularity. It is prized for its rich, savoury taste and medicinal uses. The caps are dark brown on creamy white/brown stems reaching 2-4 inches in height. The Happy Caps mushroom kit includes a live mushroom mycelium block that's super easy to use. Expect your first harvest in a 10-14 days with the possibility of a few more harvests to follow in succession. Once harvests have waned you can sometimes get another by planting outside in the garden in summer and covering with a dusting of soil.
