Description:
'Alsea Falls' is a striking amoena type bearded iris with ruffled white standards contrasting with the purple-blue falls, each with a white flare at the base. The flowers are large and produced 6-8 per 36 inch stem. Tall Bearded (TB) irises, previously known as Iris germanica, have greyish strap-like, pointed leaves from fleshy rhizomes and tall stems of gorgeous, often fragrant, flowers that come in every colour of the rainbow. Divide every two to three years (or when clumps become congested and flowering decreases) just after blooming. Trim the foliage back to a third and plant the rhizomes at or just below soil level.
