Description:
Rhododendron 'Capistrano' has delicate pastel yellow flowers that are funnel shaped up to 2 inches across with frilly edges. Each truss has up to 15 flowers. Muted deep green, evergreen foliage provides a beautiful contrast. The growth habit is dense and mounding, 4 feet tall and wide. Responds well to pruning after flowering. Provide evenly moist, well-drained, acidic-based soil and mulch. Use as an accent, understorey or foundation shrub, mass planting and for winter interest. Hummingbird and pollinator attractor. Rabbit resistant.
