Description:
Hydrangea arborescens 'Pink Pinchushion' is a pink smooth hydrangea with domes of fuzzy pink and white fertile flowers with the occasional sterile floret at the edges. It is was a popular pollinator magnet in the trials at the Mt. Cuba Center. This cultivar has a more relaxed habit than the more bred cultivars perfect for naturalistic plantings and wild gardens. Smooth hydrangea is native to eastern North America and is among the hardiest in the genus. Photo: Mt. Cuba Center.
