Anemone occidentalis, the western pasqueflower, has charming white flowers and ornamental silky seed heads.


Description:
Anemone occidentalis, the western pasqueflower, is a lovely high elevation species with charming white to palest creamy yellow flowers in early spring atop beautiful lacy foliage. The flowers become ornamental silky seed heads in summer that look like a drum major's hat made out of feathers. Now known scientifically as Pulsatilla occidentalis.
