Viridiflora type tulips are characterized by interesting green streaks in the petals which creates a sophisticated look in the spring garden. 'China Town' is a lovely viridiflora with variegated foliage and lovely soft pink and creamy white flowers hints of apricot and the characteristic green streaks. Stems will reach about 12 inches tall. Hybrid tulips can persist in the garden for many years. Afterall, they rebloom each year in the fields of the Netherlands. Provide full sun where bulbs aren't shaded by other plants, fertilize with bulb food as soon as they emerge in spring, and allow the foliage to die back naturally after flowering.
