Description:
Like a veronica with mint like foliage, this species from Iran and the Caucasus will perform in warm, dry sites where veronicas will languish. ‘Purple Tails' looks much like spiky veronicas in habit and flower. It forms a bushy clump of aromatic, rugose, green leaves topped by bright reddish purple flower spikes on reddish purple stems from early through midsummer. Photo courtesy of Walters Gardens.
