Lupinus arcticus is known as the Arctic or subalpine lupine. It lives up to its name growing as far north as the tundra of the Canadian Archipelago as well as on mountaintops throughout BC. It has classic semi-open spikes of purple-blue and white flowers up to 1.5 feet tall atop rich green, palmate foliage. Super hardy to zone 1! Pollinated by native bees including bumblebees.
