Verbena 'Homestead Purple' is a vigorous, trailing vervain with lavender-magenta flowers from May until fall.
Description:
Verbena canadensis 'Homestead Purple' blooms its heart out from May until fall with slightly fragrant, lavender-magenta flowers held above glossy dark green foliage. It's one of the most popular trailing verbenas, vigorously spreading, and a great choice for the low maintenance garden. The name comes from the location in Georgia where two horticulture profs did an impromtu U-turn to make a collection and has gone on to fame and glory. This one may not always survive cold wet winters but is worth it. Improve your chances by providing good drainage in dry sites.
