Description:
The large, glossy leaflets of this rare species are often lightly to boldly mottled with rose or red. The extremely floriferous sprays of pale yellow flowers number 100-200 per stem though the flowers are very small. From Hunan, China. Humus rich soil in some shade. Epimediums are among the easiest perennials to grow. They thrive in medium to heavy shade, and when established, are highly drought tolerant. They are deer resistant and are seldom bothered by voles or other critters.
