Corydalis quantmeyerana 'Chocolate Star' is a great form of an uncommon species. This selection has unusual somewhat toothed reddish chocolate-brown foliage with little dots on the edges all fall, winter and spring with green foliage in summer. The lavender flowers emerge in spring on big boisterous mounds of gorgeous leaves about two feet tall and wide. They make a great statement.
