Lilium wallichianum is a rare Asian species with fragrant, white trumpet flowers on five foot stalks.


Description:
Lilium wallichianum is one of the most beautiful Asian species with large, fragrant, white, trumpet like flowers on strong wiry stalks five feet tall. Blooms from late summer to early fall. The foliage is long, narrow and dark green. This rare species is stoloniferous and can pop up some distance from the original bulb. Provide light shade and excellent drainage. It does not like being transplanted. Grow in a container and protect where not hardy. Distributed throughout the Himalayas and the Indian subcontinent.
